Beached As! Fashion Photographs
The Blow-up Chair
This series of fashion photographs had a last minute change of plan. The shoot was originally meant to take place in an empty swimming pool. Unfortunately these fashion portraits took so long to organise that Park Road Pool in North London had filled the pool with water for the summer season. As it happened, it all worked out well. We ended up with beautiful weather, bright colours and sparkly water. Maybe this is just the luck of a London advertising photographer...?! Click this link to view the fashion story...
Smoking Portrait Photographs
Security Guards on a cigarette break
Shot just off Berkley Square, in Mayfair, central London for my 'Fag Ends' project. I was cycling round town with my camera, looking for people who had been forced to smoke outside since the smoking ban came into force. I loved the look of these two characters, so I stopped off to take a few shots. Unfortunately they were just taking the last puffs of their respective cigarettes, and amazingly weren't up for sparking up another straight away. I returned after half an hour to catch this moment. Ting Tings Portrait Photographs
A last minute change of plan for this music photographer meant I shot this in my dining room! Paper Magazine rang from New York the day before the shoot insisting on a white background. This meant the red flock wall paper of the bar I was going to shoot my portrait photographs against was out. Music photographers come up against this all the time so the need to be flexible is essential. Click this link to view the music gallery... I also shot Hearts Revolution for the same article in Paper Magazine.
